Recommendation – “Love and War” – Your Marriage Will Thank You!
I recently had a chance to read John and Stasi Eldredge’s new book “Love and War”. If you’re not familiar with John’s books I highly recommend picking up any of them. His books have made a huge impact on my life and my life ’s journey. Love and war is no exception.
There is so much that we carry into our marriages that we have to look at, understand, and learn from. Those things that we carry can create problems if we don’t deal with them. John and Stasi share their life experiences from their unique journey together that really shows that we all face somewhat similar issues.
I believe that we need to look at the issues we face as couples together to really understand the deeper meaning that God has for our marriages. One of the aspects of the book that I really enjoyed was how both John and Stasi took turns writing of their experiences. They shared how they went through the struggles, and how the journey made their marriage stronger and deeper.
As with all of John’s books (and now with Stasi) I always find myself reading them multiple times, learning more each and every time. I have read “Wild at Heart” no less than 6 times. I have no doubt that “Love and War” will be read multiple times.
If you get the chance and you are serious about finding the marriage that God desires for you and your spouse, I highly recommend reading “Love and War’.
